Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, October 2–3, 2026
Theme: “Rise with Christ”

There are gatherings that we attend, memories that we bring home, and experiences that remain in our hearts long after everything is over. For me, WVAC 21 in Bacolod City was all these and more.

As I look back on October 2–3, 2026, I cannot help but feel nostalgic, moved, and truly in awe of what we experienced. It was more than a regional gathering of the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals. It was a beautiful reminder of what brotherhood, faith, and a shared mission can accomplish when people come together with one heart and one purpose.

With 12 chapters coming together under the theme “Rise with Christ,” the atmosphere was filled with excitement, fellowship, and a sense of belonging. Yet, beyond the activities, competitions, and celebrations, what struck me most was the tremendous effort behind the entire event.

As a participant, I could only imagine the amount of preparation, planning, time, and sacrifice that went into making everything happen. Behind every well-organized activity and every smooth transition, there were surely countless hours of work, people giving up their personal time, and members quietly making sacrifices so that the rest of us could enjoy a meaningful experience.

It made me appreciate the gathering even more. Sometimes, we see only the finished product and forget the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes. WVAC 2 reminded me that a successful event is not simply organized; it is built through dedication, teamwork, generosity, and love for BCBP.

Kudos to BCBP Bacolod South Chapter! The event was well-planned, well-organized, and beautifully executed. Your hard work and sacrifices did not go unnoticed. You gave us more than an event to attend; you gave us an experience to remember and a brotherhood to cherish. For that, you deserve our heartfelt gratitude and admiration.

For us from BCBP Kalibo, it was especially meaningful to be part of this gathering. Bringing together 51 participants was already a blessing in itself. Seeing our members share in the activities, support one another, and represent our chapter with enthusiasm filled me with pride and gratitude.

One of the most meaningful moments was hearing the life testimony of our CYP member, Atty. Jude Mangilog. His sharing reminded me that behind every person is a story worth listening to—a journey filled with experiences, challenges, lessons, and moments when God’s grace becomes real in our lives. It was a timely reminder that while we gather to celebrate our brotherhood, our deepest purpose remains rooted in Christ and in the transformation He brings to each of us.

Of course, the excitement reached another level during the bowling tournament!

What a proud moment for BCBP Kalibo as our delegation emerged as the Overall Champion! The achievement was a testament to the talent, determination, and camaraderie of our members. The power couple, George and Fhel Regalado, led the charge, while Jojo Lao earned recognition as the highest-scoring male bowler and Fhel Regalado as the highest-scoring female bowler.

The tandem of Jojo Lao and myself, Dence Lim, also secured second runner-up in the Class B doubles category. Adding to the joy, Annebelle Dalinog, representing the Malay Mission Group, brought home second runner-up honors in the women’s singles category.

Every strike, every spare, every cheer, and every moment of encouragement became part of a bigger story—not just of competition, but of friendship and shared victories. Winning was certainly sweet, but celebrating those victories together made them even more special.

The basketball activities brought another dimension to our participation, with George Regalado and Ferds Lucerio joining the action. Ma. Wennie Lim proudly served as the muse of our Kalibo basketball team, adding charm and enthusiasm to the occasion. These moments reminded me that the beauty of BCBP lies in the opportunity to discover and appreciate one another beyond our usual roles as businessmen, professionals, and members of our respective chapters.

And then came the final night’s festivities!

The ladies of BCBP Kalibo took part in the festival group dance, representing Japan. Watching them participate with enthusiasm and confidence was another source of pride. There was laughter, excitement, and a genuine sense of joy in seeing our sisters step out of their comfort zones and contribute their talents to the celebration.

Those moments may seem simple, but they are often the ones we remember most. They remind us that brotherhood is not built only through meetings and formal activities. It is also built through shared laughter, unexpected experiences, collective efforts, and the willingness to create memories together.

Looking back, I realize that what made WVAC 2 truly special was not the number of trophies we brought home, the activities we participated in, or even the number of chapters gathered in one place. It was the feeling of being part of something bigger than ourselves.

There was something deeply moving about seeing members from different chapters come together, each bringing their own stories, personalities, and talents, yet sharing the same faith and mission. For a moment, the distance between our chapters seemed insignificant. We were simply brothers and sisters, united in Christ and strengthened by the same calling.

The theme “Rise with Christ” became more meaningful to me as I reflected on the experience. To rise with Christ is not only to grow in faith individually, but also to lift one another up, serve with humility, make sacrifices for others, and continue the mission even when the work is unseen or difficult.

And perhaps that is what I will remember most about WVAC 2: the people who gave their time, the members who made sacrifices, the friendships strengthened, the stories shared, and the joy of being together as one BCBP family.

To BCBP Bacolod South Chapter, thank you for your hard work, generosity, and dedication. You have set a beautiful example of what can be achieved when planning is matched with genuine commitment and service.

To my fellow BCBP Kalibo members, thank you for making the journey memorable. Our 51 participants did not simply represent a chapter; we carried with us the spirit, unity, and enthusiasm of a brotherhood that continues to grow.

As we return to our respective homes, businesses, workplaces, and communities, may the memories of WVAC 2 continue to inspire us. May we carry the same spirit of sacrifice, service, and fellowship into our daily lives.

Some experiences leave us tired but happy. Others leave us proud and fulfilled. And then there are experiences like WVAC 2 that leave us nostalgic, deeply moved, and in awe of what God can accomplish through a community of people willing to give of themselves.

For me, WVAC 2 was one of those experiences.

We came together as chapters, we celebrated as a brotherhood, and we left with hearts a little fuller than when we arrived.

Indeed, this was more than a gathering. It was a beautiful reminder that when we rise with Christ, we rise together.
