Celebrating Faith, Marketplace Mission, and Fellowship: BCBP Kalibo Marks 27th Anniversary

KALIBO, AKLAN – The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Kalibo Chapter joyfully marked a major milestone as it celebrated its 27th Anniversary on May 31, 2026. Gathered at the Pastrana Park Covered Court, members, leaders, and guests came together for a full day of spiritual renewal, inspiring testimonies, fervent praise and worship and, vibrant community fellowship. Under the overarching banner of the BCBP mission, the day-long event seamlessly blended solemn worship with energetic celebration, proving once again that bringing Christ into the marketplace is a journey best shared together.

A Day Rooted in Faith and Thanksgiving

The anniversary celebration commenced with a deeply spiritual morning, setting a tone of gratitude for nearly three decades of blessings and evangelization in Kalibo.

1. The Holy Mass (7:00 AM – 8:00 AM) The celebration opened with the highest form of prayer—the Holy Mass. The community was deeply honored to welcome Most Reverend Cyril B. Villareal, Bishop of the Diocese of Kalibo, as the main celebrant. In his homily, Bishop Villareal emphasized the vital role of Christian business leaders and professionals in upholding integrity and spreading the Gospel in their respective workplaces.

2. Regional Grand Breakfast (8:15 AM – 10:00 AM) Following the Mass, the energy shifted to a staple BCBP tradition: the Grand Breakfast. This year’s event featured an inspiring testimonial from couple sharers Jess & Bing Vargas, Senior Leaders of the BCBP Bacolod South Chapter. They shared a powerful, real-world testament of managing business, family, and leadership while keeping Christ at the center of their lives. Before they took center stage though, BCBP Kalibo Chapter Head Jerome Quimpo delivered his Anniversary address to members and guests entitled, “A Journey of Faith and Promise”.1

Rekindling the Fire: Afternoon Praise and Worship

Chapter Assembly (3:30 PM – 5:30 PM)

After a midday break, the community gathered once more for the Chapter Assembly. Led by Chapter Head Jerome Quimpo, the venue echoed with powerful songs of praise, deep worship, and heartfelt prayers. It was a beautiful time of spiritual recharging that reminded everyone of the core brotherhood that binds the chapter together.

A Vibrant Night of Nostalgia and Unity

Fellowship Night & CLP Batch Reunion (6:00 PM onwards)

As dusk fell, the atmosphere transformed into a vibrant explosion of color and nostalgia for the Fellowship Night and Christian Life Program (CLP) Batch Reunion. Embracing a high-energy “Bagets” theme, members and guests arrived decked out in retro attire and neon colors, eager to reconnect and celebrate the lasting bonds formed through the years.

The true highlights of the evening were the members of BCBP Kalibo’s CLP 21, who captivated the crowd by their song and dance routines. Not to be outdone, the brothers and sisters from the Malay outreach brought their own stellar energy to the stage, throwing it back to the 80s with high-energy dance tunes that had everyone reminiscing. This was followed by different groups of the men and ladies of BCBP Kalibo who took the limelight to showcase their impressive choreography to iconic “Iskul-bukol” 2era beats. Orchestrating the entire night’s merriment was the inimitable master of ceremonies, bro. Valor Alba, who kept the audience thoroughly engaged and on their toes with lively trivia questions about the BCBP community.

CLP 21’s sis. Krisdel Panadero opened the evening’s program with her captivating singing voice. She is the daughter of Sta. Rita AGL sis. Rodelyn.

Moving Forward: BCBP Kalibo at 27 and Beyond

As BCBP Kalibo closes the chapter on its 27th year, the community looks forward to the future with renewed vigor, aligned with national movements such as the “Be Honest: Tapat Dapat” and the development of the Christ’s Young Professionals (CYP) program while looking ahead toward the BCBP Jubilee 2030. With the success of this milestone celebration, members leave Pastrana Park inspired to continue being beacons of honesty, professionalism, and divine love in the marketplace.

To all the organizers, guests, and brothers and sisters in Christ—Happy 27th Anniversary, BCBP Kalibo!
