CATICLAN, MALAY, AKLAN — Members of the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Kalibo – Malay Mission gathered yesterday evening, Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the CBTMPC Building Hall in Caticlan for a series of mission activities, spiritual teaching, and organizational announcements.
The event was slightly delayed when it commenced at around 6:30 PM with the BCBP Teaching under the theme “Be renewed. Grow deeper. Live the mission.”
Bro. Bonnie V. Dela Torre, the indefatigable Unit Leader of the Malay Mission, spoke about the concept of 3Ts for BCBP stewardship.
Within the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP), Christian stewardship is the recognition that everything a person has is entrusted to him by God. Instead of acting as sole owners, members are called to be faithful stewards who use these gifts to serve others and build a Christ-centered marketplace. Therefore, the concept of the 3T’s are:
1. Time (Give God Your Presence)
Core Principle: Everyone is given the exact same 24 hours in a day regardless of profession or title. The key distinction lies in what one chooses to value and prioritize.
Application: Giving time to God is reflected in offering presence—such as dedicating even one hour a week to serve, visit, encourage, mentor, attend formation, or support community programs.
2. Treasures / Resources (Give from What God Has Given)
Core Principle: Material wealth, business success, income, intelligence, health, and career opportunities ultimately originate from God.
Application: Tithing and giving are viewed as acts of worship, gratitude, and trust rather than mere transactions or fees. Sharing resources allows money and assets to fund missions, support formation, aid those in need, and transform lives.
3. Talents (Don’t Bury What God Gave You)
Core Principle: Every individual possesses unique skills—whether professional expertise (such as accounting, medicine, law, or leadership) or relational gifts (such as organizing, mentoring, or making others feel valued).
Application: Drawing from the Parable of the Talents, stewardship demands using whatever specific gifts one has been given to serve and build up others rather than hiding or ignoring them.
When Time, Resources, and Talents are combined, members become effective instruments for God. The true measure of achievement in BCBP is evaluated not by personal accumulation, but by how many lives are enriched and blessed through faithful stewardship.
Following the teaching, participants convened for the General Action Group Meeting (GAM) to reflect on scripture, exchange insights on key questions about the foregoing Talk, and coordinate among Action Group members themselves their plans moving forward.
