MALAY, AKLAN – A significant milestone in the journey of the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Kalibo Malay Mission was the premiere launch of the Breakfast after Dark (BREAD) at the CBTMPC Building in Caticlan, Malay, Aklan.

Held on August 1, 2026 at 6:00 PM, the inaugural gathering – filled with faith, fellowship and inspiration – brought together 27 attendees including BCBP Malay Mission members and the Kalibo Governance Team led by Chapter Head Bro. Jerome and Sis. Yeye Quimpo. The event celebrated God’s continuing work of expanding His mission through ordinary men and women who have generously responded to His call to serve with faith, humility, and love.

The program was masterfully hosted by Bro. Valor Alba, one of the finest and most respected hosts of the BCBP Kalibo Chapter, whose warmth, enthusiasm, and engaging presence set the tone for an evening of meaningful encounters and spiritual renewal.

The highlight of the gathering was a joint reflection shared by my dear husband, Dr. Sergio F. Tolentino III, and me on our life motto: ‘Called to Serve, Sustained by Grace, Spared for a Purpose.’ Our message resonated deeply with everyone present as we emphasized that Christian service is not a mere obligation, but a divine calling. Every believer is invited to be a willing instrument of God’s love—sustained daily by His grace and empowered to extend His goodness to others.

Drawing from our own faith journey and experiences in the ministry, we reminded those who would listen that every person has a unique purpose in God’s plan. We encouraged everyone to embrace lives marked by humility, compassion, faithfulness, and joyful service, becoming channels of hope and inspiration within their families, workplaces, communities, and the Church.

We hope and pray that our sharing profoundly touched the hearts of those present and that it inspired participants to look beyond themselves and, to recognize that God’s grace not only strengthens those whom He calls but also give meaning and direction to every act of service performed for His greater glory.

Throughout the evening, the atmosphere was filled with warmth, genuine fellowship, heartfelt reflection, and gratitude. The active participation and openness of the 27 attendees transformed the gathering into more than just a launching event, it became a memorable encounter with God’s presence and a renewed commitment to Christian discipleship.

The program concluded at approximately 8:00 PM, with the participants leaving spiritually refreshed, encouraged, and inspired to live out their faith more intentionally through service and evangelization.

With the triumphant launch of BREAD at the CBTMPC Auditorium in downtown Caticlan, we open new doors to expand our Malay Mission community through this innovative evening breakfast schedule and, in the process build a deeper brotherhood anchored in prayer, fellowship, and a shared mission.
