A Call to Action: March Against Corruption!

To our fellow members of the BCBP,

Greetings!

We are writing to you today in light of the recent letter from the Diocese of Kalibo’s Office of the Chancellor regarding the call for prayerful and peaceful action against corruption. We were greatly inspired by this message and see it as a powerful call to action for all of us in the BCBP.

Our mission as an organization is to bring Christ into the marketplace, and this includes our commitment to good governance, accountability, and integrity. The call from the Diocese aligns perfectly with our core values, and it is a chance for us to show our faith through our actions.

There are a number of ways for us to get involved. The attached letter from the Diocese encourages us to reflect, discern, and take concrete, peaceful, and non-violent actions against corruption. However, we ask those of you who are not engaged in our Men’s Breakfast and the CLP in Malay this weekend to represent the BCBP in a prayer rally that the Diocese of Kalibo may organize locally. If you do so, please remember to wear a WHITE T-shirt with a WHITE ribbon as per advice of our Regional Coordinating Director (RCD). Your participation would be a powerful testament to our shared commitment to fighting corruption and promoting good governance.

The fight against corruption is not limited to a single event or gathering. It is a continuous effort that we must all take part in, wherever we are. Our collective efforts, guided by prayer, integrity, and compassion, can make a significant difference.

Let us all be steadfast in our faith and work together to live out our mission and serve as a beacon of hope and change in our communities.

Sincerely in Christ,

Gerome Quimpo, Chapter Head, BCBP Kalibo
