Pontevedra, Capiz—The BCBP Roxas East Mission in Pontevedra celebrated its first anniversary with a truly remarkable event: a Grand Breakfast that drew a record-breaking 52 first-time attendees. The milestone gathering held in the morning of August 16, 2025 at Villa Consorcia in Malag-it, Pontevedra, Capiz, not only marked a year of spiritual growth and community building but also showcased their chapter mission’s expanding influence in the region.

The Grand Breakfast, a tradition designed to welcome new members and foster fellowship, was transformed into a joyous celebration of Roxas East Mission’s first year of ministry. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and excitement as long-time members welcomed first timers and regular and associate breakfasters with stories and reflections on the journey that has brought the mission to this pivotal point.
The presence of 52 new faces was a testament to the community’s outreach efforts and the genuine spirit of welcome that defines the mission’s work.

The energetic BCBP Roxas East Chapter Head Dennis Altobano and his Mission leaders expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming turnout, noting that the record attendance was an encouraging sign of what’s to come.

Then, Regional Coordinating Director (RCD) Rotelo Palmes and his lovely wife Rechelle delivered their keynote sharing, reminding everyone that “we are but servants of God that when He calls you to do something for Him, you do it.” They emphasized that the event was a powerful symbol of the mission’s commitment to serving the people of Pontevedra and providing a place of spiritual support and belonging for all. The growth, they believe, is a direct result of the dedicated service and passion of every Roxas East volunteer and member.

The first anniversary Grand Breakfast serves as a beautiful and memorable start to Roxas East Mission team’s plans for the future. It’s an achievement that has inspired a sense of healthy competition and a new goal for the BCBP Kalibo community, which dreams of achieving the same level of success that the Roxas East chapter has had in their mission in Pontevedra.
As the Pontevedra outreach moves forward, the record attendance stands as a significant achievement and a source of inspiration, demonstrating that the Roxas East Mission’s message of faith and fellowship continues to resonate deeply within the heart of Capiz and, I am just glad we were there to witness all of it!
