BCBP Northern Panay Launches Institute for Business Transformation in Roxas City

The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Northern Panay is proud to announce the launch of a transformative series of seminars under the Institute for Business Transformation (IBT). Initiated by Regional Council Director Rotelo Palmes, whose vision for professional and spiritual alignment continues to guide the region, the program officially began on February 28, 2026.

The Roxas Chapter welcomed 25 participants from the Roxas, Roxas East, Estancia, and Kalibo chapters to embark on the Business as a Noble Vocation Course (BNVC).

To lead this intensive educational journey, RCD Rotelo Palmes has appointed bro. Ramoncito “Monchie” Rebesencio as the Course Facilitator. A seasoned leader and former Chapter Head from Kalibo, bro. Monchie is tasked with overseeing the curriculum and ensuring that participants are equipped to align their professional success with their spiritual calling.

Mission: Transforming the Marketplace for Christ

The IBT serves as a vital directorate within the BCBP, standing alongside Mission, Formation, and Family Life. Its core purpose is to empower leaders to transform enterprises into spaces that honor Christ.

The BNVC curriculum draws inspiration from Cardinal Peter Turkson’s seminal work, “The Vocation of the Business Leader,” providing a roadmap for navigating modern marketplace challenges while upholding human dignity and the common good.

Kickoff Highlights: A Strong Start

The first day of the course set a high standard for professional and spiritual growth. The program is managed by a dedicated core group of instructors and advisors: Noel Guevara, Benelyn Batiduan, and Vince Abellar.

The inaugural session included:

  • Orientation: A comprehensive introduction to the course objectives and expectations.
  • The Keynote: Vince Abellar delivered the foundational talk, “Business as a Vocation: God’s Call to the World,” challenging participants to view their roles not just as careers, but as divine assignments.
  • Interactive Forum: The day concluded with a dynamic Q&A session, where the core group addressed practical queries from the 25 representatives regarding ethical leadership and workplace integration.

Course Dynamics & Schedule

To respect the busy schedules of members, sessions are designed to be efficient and engaging, running for approximately two to two and a half hours on the following dates:

  • February 28 (Completed)
  • March 8, 15, 22, & 29
  • April 12 & 19

The Session Flow:

  1. Opening: Welcome and centered prayer.
  2. The Talk: Focused sessions featuring case studies and personal testimonies.
  3. Peer Discussion: Moderated group sharing for practical application.
  4. Closing: Final exhortation and prayer.

A Curriculum for Ethical Leadership

The program is structured into three core pillars based on Catholic Social Teaching (CST):

  • Purpose: Understanding the “Why” behind your leadership.
  • Development: Creating a business that is “truly good” and sustainable.
  • Vocation: Embracing your role as a change agent in the world.

The course will conclude with a project presentation and a formal commencement exercise, where graduates will receive certificates of completion.

A Call to Action

Following the successful precedents set by Southern Panay, this is a unique opportunity for Northern Panay leaders to step up. Do not simply wonder how to make a difference—become a catalyst for ethical change in the marketplace.
