The last week of the CLP 2 Malay Mission concluded on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at CBTMPC Malay, Aklan. The event brought together 27 participants and 36 BCBP members from the BCBP Kalibo Chapter, totaling 63 attendees. Bro. Bonnie De la Torre, the Course Director, officially opened the program at 1:35 PM.

The first session, delivered by Bro. Raffy Hilario, focused on Prayer, Scripture, and Spiritual Gifts. Bro. Raffy emphasized the importance of making prayer a priority in daily life, describing it as one of the most valuable habits a believer can cultivate. As he shared, “We pray because we believe in God… prayer is your line of communication to God.” He also highlighted that Catholics can pray anywhere, as God’s presence is not confined to a church or chapel, though such places may enhance the experience.
On the topic of the proper use of Scripture, Bro. Raffy explained that “keeping God’s word” goes beyond mere familiarity with the Bible. True discipleship involves living according to God’s teachings—applying them in decisions, behavior, and relationships—as a demonstration of love for God. Actions, not just words, serve as evidence of one’s faith.
Bro. Raffy then spoke on Spiritual Gifts, referencing Apostle Paul: “Spiritual gifts are abilities given by the Holy Spirit for the purpose of building up the church” (1 Corinthians 14:3). He explained that these gifts are intended not only for personal benefit but to strengthen the community, glorify God, and support the growth of the BCBP. Spiritual gifts foster unity, deepen faith, and contribute to the wellbeing of the entire body of Christ.
Following this, Bro. Jerome Quimpo, Chapter Head of BCBP Kalibo, led a talk on Submission to Authority. He stressed that authority is vital for the healthy functioning of an organization like the BCBP. Submission, he explained, is not blind obedience but arises from an active, personal relationship between members and their leaders, guided by the Holy Spirit. Conflicts and disagreements, he noted, are normal in any community but can be resolved through humility, trust in God’s justice, and love.

An open forum followed Bro. Jerome’s talk, attended by former chapter heads Bro. Arlen Magallanes, Bro. Ben Prado, and Sis. Eva Prado, along with selected members of the governance team of BCBP Kalibo and the CLP 2 Malay Mission Team.
After the forum came the commitment ceremony led by Bro. Jerome and Sis. Yeye Quimpo with assistance from Bro. Alexys and Sis. Danica Apolonio. The participants then formally expressed their dedication to their personal faith journey.

In preparation for the Formation Program for newly graduated participants, Bro. Marvin Ignacio, Mission Head, conducted a Formation Orientation. This session introduced core Catholic teachings and charismatic renewal, guiding Associate Members through action groups focused on character development, prayer, and living Christian values in the marketplace.

To close the event, Bro. Bonnie De la Torre encouraged participants to continue and complete the Formation Program, underscoring the importance of perseverance in faith and spiritual growth. The program concluded on a celebratory note with the singing of “One Family.”
