Malay, Aklan – In a significant milestone for the Kalibo Malay Mission, the community hosted its first-ever Brotherhood Christian Life Program (BCLP) on August 25, 2024 with an impressive turnout of 23 participants composed of six (6) couples, seven (7) single married ladies, two (2) single married men and, two (2) unmarried single men at the fourth floor of the CBTMPC Bldg. in Caticlan, Malay, Aklan. The event marked a momentous occasion for the BCBP Kalibo mother chapter as it embarked on an outreach of spiritual enrichment, fellowship and unmitigated community support.
The BCLP, a program designed to help individuals deepen their understanding of the Christian faith and strengthen their relationship with God, drew participants from diverse backgrounds and walks of life seventy-three (73) kilometers (45.3601 miles) away from BCBP Kalibo’s main base of operation. The enthusiastic response to the program highlighted the growing interest in spiritual development within both the core community and its outreach areas.
Through fellowship, mentorship, and prayer, the BCLP strives to bring the transformative message of Christ into every aspect of the business world, creating a positive impact on individuals, organizations, and society as a whole. In this way, we aim to empower Christian businessmen and professionals to integrate their faith with their work, fostering a marketplace characterized by integrity, compassion, honesty and service to others.

One of the notable aspects of the inaugural BCLP was the strong presence of members from the Music and the Intercessory Ministries, who came out in force to bring their A-game to the event. Their participation added a special dimension to the program, with live music, prayerful devotion and worship thus enhancing the spiritual experience for all involved.
To begin the program, Mission Course Director Bonnie Vee Dela Torre provided an overview of the BCBP, BCLP, and the essential House rules that would govern the next twelve Sundays. Following introductions of the Administrative and Governance Teams, Arben and Breget Abragon offered an inspiring mini-sharing. Felix Jismundo then delivered the keynote address, exploring the profound question, “Who is Jesus Christ?”.
As the afternoon progressed, a sense of camaraderie and unity began to emerge among the groups of participants, reflecting the strong sense of community that defines the Kalibo Malay Mission. Friendships were formed, and personal insights were shared, creating a nurturing environment for spiritual growth and transformation.
At the conclusion of the first day of BCLP, participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to deepen their faith and connect with fellow believers in such a meaningful way. This is a testament to the Mission’s commitment to spiritual development and community building.
Looking ahead, the Kalibo Malay Mission is excited to continue the series of weekly talks to further enrich the spiritual lives of the aspirants and strengthen the bonds of fellowship within the community. With the support of dedicated individuals and groups like the Music Ministry, the Intercessory Ministry, the Secretariat and support teams, the Mission is poised to embark on a new chapter of growth and empowerment.
The inaugural BCLP of the Kalibo Malay Mission will be remembered as a significant milestone in BCBP Kalibo’s history, underscoring the power of faith, community, and shared commitment to spiritual renewal. As participants move forward to their next sessions, they carry with them the memories and lessons learned during this day’s transformative experience, setting the stage for even greater accomplishments in the future.
