The Brother’s Keeper system requires Unit Leaders and Action Group Leaders to add their respective Action Group Meetings as Events in BK3. This is because they are also responsible for taking attendance of their members. Fortunately, recording attendance through BK3 is not only easy to do but is also secure and in real-time. The first step is, of course, creating an event in BK3 and here is how:
1. Log in to your BK3 account.
2. On the top right corner of the page, you will see your name. Click on it and select Admin Portal from the dropdown selection.
3. Select Events from your Main Menu on the left side of your screen.
4. Look for and select the big blue button “+ New Event”. NOTE: Your screen may look differently depending on whether you already have an event scheduled or not.
5. You will be presented with the screen below. Enter your details as directed by the red arrows. Finally, don’t forget to click the green Save button near the top of your screen. NOTE: It is important that you add as much detail as possible in the Title section otherwise you may experience a system error. See example in the graphic.
6. Should you need to edit your event, you can easily do so by going to your event and clicking on the pencil icon as shown below. Don’t forget to save your event after making your changes. NOTE: Your screen may look slightly different in your PC or cellphone but the mechanics are all the same.
Finally, to be effective, please make sure all your AG members are registered for BK3. You can have them begin the registration process by filling-out the membership form here: https://forms.gle/Q1Rq9EBYdfVnCdki8 if they haven’t already.
