The BCBP Kalibo Chapter held an Echo AGL Training last July 13, 2024, at the Royal Suites Condotel Conference Room. The event aimed to equip and empower 26 Action Group Leaders (AGLs), Assistant Group Leaders (AAGLs) and other potential leaders with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively serve within the organization.
The training commenced with a spirit-filled Praise and Worship session led by Bro. Vim Samonte, setting the tone for the afternoon of learning and fellowship. Bro. Gerome Quimpo then took the stage, delving into the topic of “Heart of God.” His session focused on fostering a deeper understanding of God’s love and purpose for the BCBP ministry.

Following Bro. Jerome’s talk, Bro. Richard Delgado took over to discuss the essential “Roles of AGLs.” This session outlined the responsibilities and expectations associated with the AGL position within the BCBP structure.
The next portion of the training saw Bro. Mark Narandan leading a session on the “Seven Steps Method for Action Group Meetings.” The Seven Steps Method is a core BCBP strategy for guiding action group meetings while providing participants with the skills to conduct effective and engaging meetings within their assigned groups.
Unit Leader Bro. Ronel Tersol rounded out the training program with a session on “Pastoral Care and Effective Communication.” This session focused on equipping participants with the tools and knowledge to provide pastoral care and support to members within their groups, while also fostering strong communication skills for effective leadership.

The BCBP Kalibo Chapter’s Echo AGL Training, facilitated by the Teaching Ministry under the Formation Directorate led by Bro. Vim Samonte, proved to be a valuable learning experience for the participating AGLs and Potential Leaders. By supplying them with information that would deepen their understanding of their roles, the BCBP’s core principles, and effective communication skills, the training has prepared them to better serve BCBP Kalibo and its members.
