BCBP Kalibo Communications and Digital Directorate: Q2 Updates and Future Plans

This report details the recent activities and ongoing developments within the Communications and Digital Directorate (CDD) of BCBP Kalibo. It covers the period from April 9, 2024, to the present (June 23, 2024).

1. Maintenance and Administration

  • BCBP Kalibo Breakfast Page & BCBP Kalibo Group: The BCBP Kalibo Breakfast Page has seen significant growth in just the last 28 days, gaining One hundred and Fifty-Nine (159) post reaches, (seventy-seven) 77 post engagements and (seventeen) 17 new Page likes. With Seven Hundred and Fifty-Two (752) followers and growing, these stats clearly indicate an active and engaged online community.
  • Brother’s Keeper v 3.0 (BK3): As of June 12th, 94 members have successfully onboarded BK3. This not only demonstrates a positive response to the new platform but new graduates from the latest CLP 20 are expected to swell the onboarded membership numbers soon.
  • BCBP Kalibo Web and Blogsite: The website has been consistently updated with fresh content. Since the beginning of April, thirteen (13) new articles have been published, providing valuable information and resources for the BCBP Kalibo community.
  • BCBP Kalibo YouTube Page: The YouTube channel continues to be a hub for BCBP Kalibo’s video content. Original productions featuring formation teachings, Mission CLP Talks, and creative advertisement videos for events like the BCBP Kalibo Anniversary and Christ’s Young Professionals (CYP) have been uploaded for posterity.

2. Organization of the Communications Ministry Coordinator (CMC) and Ministry Chroniclers and Correspondents (CCs):

  • Membership Selection: The selection of members for the CMC and CC roles have been completed by the Ministry Heads. In order to make everything official, appointment letters have been sent out to the selected CCs.
  • Orientation and Procedures: Once the CMC team is fully organized, an orientation will be held to establish a clear procedure for CCs to submit their ministry reports and articles. These submissions will require approval from the respective Ministry Heads before publication.
  • Full Implementation: The full implementation of the CMC and CC system is expected by the 3rd quarter of this year. This will streamline communication efforts and ensure consistent updates across all channels.

3. Challenges Encountered

  • BK3 Sign-up: A few remaining members are hesitant or unable to provide the necessary personal information required for BK3 registration.
  • Ministry Reports and Articles: Submission of reports and articles by Ministry Heads and/or their respective CCs regarding their ministry activities have been slow and far between.

Moving Forward

The Communications Ministry is committed to overcoming these challenges. We will explore ways to address concerns regarding BK3 registration and provide support to Ministry Heads and CCs in crafting compelling reports and articles about their ministry activities.

This update provides a glimpse into the ongoing efforts of the Communications and Digital Directorate to keep the BCBP Kalibo community informed and connected. With continued dedication and collaboration, we aim to further enhance our communication channels and effectively share the mission and vision of BCBP Kalibo.
