The position of CDD was created in the latter part of 2023 partly in response to the pandemic of 2020 but primarily to ensure a smoother digital communication and information flow between and among the members and the public. At the same time, the Communications Ministry which was traditionally under the PSD, merged with the Digital Ministry to create the new and expanded CDD. ↩︎
