A couple of weekends ago, “Be Honest Champions” – Chapter leaders from across the Western Visayas region, including their Programs and Services Directors and Communication and Digital Heads – converged in Iloilo City. Their mission: to transform the simple “Be Honest” motto into a quantifiable, scalable, and constantly evaluated movement for a life guided by honesty within the BCBP.

The “Be Honest, Tapat Dapat” movement is defined as a societal journey of transformation towards authentic positive change and living a unified Christian way of life premised on the personal practice of the virtue of honesty.

By placing the virtue of Honesty at the forefront of a person’s moral compass, it becomes one’s basis for making choices and actions based on the BCBP Core Values of Love for God, Love for Country, and Commitment to the Lord’s Work.

There is a need to fully integrate honesty into the culture of our BCBP Kalibo community through the lives of each of our members. The advocacy has to evolve into a more dynamic and “lived out” form of commitment.

Thus, the time is now to transform it into a movement through a journey of transformation with authentic positive change towards an integrated Christian way of life. We have to Own, Live and Amplify honesty in all aspects of our lives as Christians in the marketplace, home and community.¹

BHTD Call to Action

The coming days, weeks, and months will see the rollout of exciting programs and projects designed to spread the BHTD message to everyone. It all starts with small, manageable steps – “Honesty Circles” – and progresses to initiatives that truly test our commitment, like “Honesty Breakfasts.”

The possibilities are boundless!  The Kalibo Chapter is buzzing with excitement about the potential to take this advocacy from the drawing board and make it a tangible reality. We – together – can make a difference!
