Introduction

This report details the BCBP Kalibo Governance’s key achievements under our stewardship during the first quarter of 2024. It highlights the efforts and accomplishments achieved by my Mission, Formation, Programs & Services, Communications & Digital Directorate ministries, and Unit leaders.

I. Mission

• Maintained the mission outreach in Malay:

• Organized and managed numerous breakfast meetings in both Kalibo and at the Malay outreach.

• Partnered with the CDD for an online Service Fair.

II. Formation

A. Conducted Training Programs:

• Speakers’ training.

• Service team training (DGL & ADGL) for the upcoming CLP 20.

B. Delivered teachings:

• Tithing Talk

• BCBP Spirituality.

III. Program and Services Directorate (PSD)

A. Events Organized:

• Sad-Sad Panaad during the Ati-atihan festival to honor Sr. Sto. Nino.
• National Thanksgiving Day.
• Unveiled BCBP billboards promoting the Be Honest movement

B. Participated in the comprehensive drive for voter registration (2025 Local and National Elections) and an interfaith dialogue with Commissioner Garcia of COMELEC.

IV. Communications and Digital Directorate (CDD)

A. Established and Maintained an Effective Communication Structure

• Preserved Meta Facebook and Facebook Messenger as preferred digital platforms for inter and intra member communications.

• Created the BCBP Kalibo Chapter FB Group for supplemental community engagement.

• Established a Google Chat for the Governance Team members for efficient and effective communication and work collaboration between and among them.

• Subscribed to Google Workspace, providing additional tools for communication and collaboration:

• Adopted Google Meet for unrestricted video conferencing for every member subject to scheduling requirements.

• Adopted Gmail as the email client of choice.
• Created and activated the BCBP Kalibo YouTube Page at https://youtube.com/@BCBPKalibo?si=J7CL5-9y6qW3LPpd

• Created the BCBP Kalibo WordPress site at https://bcbpkalibo.org .

B. Operationalized Communication Channels

• Onboarded over 80 members (over 2/3rds of active members) to Brother’s Keeper (BK) Member Information platform.

• Assigned administrators for Facebook Messenger chat groups and the official BCBP Kalibo Chapter FB Group.

• Recruited and assigned contributors, writers, and administrators for the BCBP Kalibo blogsite at bcbpkalibo.org.

C. Management of all BCBP Kalibo Technology and Social Media Platforms

• Brother’s Keeper – (continuous onboarding of unregistered members and providing of tech support for BK3 users).

• All Facebook Pages – including the BCBP Kalibo Breakfast Page and Group.

• WordPress blog/website (bcbpkalibo.org) – Creation, Activation and Maintenance.

D. Devised and implemented electronic Internal and External Communication

• Switched from “old-school” paper reports to digital reports of AG Meetings using tools such as Google Forms.

• Established business email addresses using the kalibobcbp.org domain for the Governance Team, facilitating formal (business) communication with the public.
• Created a private member information database (including email addresses and phone numbers) accessible only to the Chapter Head, the Secretariat and other Directorates in a need to know basis.

V. Unit Leaders 

• Overseen and conducted Action Group Meetings and One-on-One meetings with Action Group Leaders (AGLs) and their respective Action Groups.

Conclusion

The BCBP Kalibo Governance Team wasted no time getting started, making significant strides even before our installation last February earning immediate recognition from our regional leaders.

To all our members, you can be sure of one thing – our team will not be resting on our laurels. With our motto “BCBP Kalibo Rising” as a guiding force and a call to action, we are poised to improve our services and expand our accomplishments in the coming months and years to come.
